happy birthday mom

My mom worked third shift (nights) in a factory for almost thirty years. I think it is safe to say her job was not fun and that it did not allow her to get the recommended number of hours of sleep. The thing is, she never complained about it. Then she retired. Then she went back to work (twice) at other jobs which were also not fun. Then she retired again!

Now she does this.

She has always enjoyed going to auctions and has a beautiful house full of antiques. I am so happy to see her get to spend time (finally) on something that she likes to do. If you have some time today, visit her etsy shop and just take a look. You should most certainly head there if you are in the market for some 19th century handwritten checks. If you are in the market for something in particular (e.g. mason jars, a horse lamp, a large mirror) send her a note and she will keep an eye out at the auctions.
