(also, i am writing without capitalization today. judge if you want to.)
now on to more interesting topics:
1. we bought a (used) scooter. that's right friends/family, enrique and i are officially scooter people. ok, well i don't actually have license plates on the thing yet and haven't driven it. but we do own the thing, i do have my motorcycle license permit and i am signed up for motorcycle safety classes at the end of this month. see pictures of the dream machine below. the motorcylce permit test was traumatic. this is mostly because i believed i didn't need to study at all and was reading the manual for the first time 5 minutes before the test. aren't the rules of motorcycling the same as a car? e.g. don't drink and drive, use a turn signal. no they are not. well they are, but the test is different. i passed. barely.
2. something called red bull flugtag is happening saturday. from what i can gather, and i have don't almost no looking into it, it involves people building flying machines and running them off a ramp into the delaware river. sounds awesome.
3. tahn did something called the hood to coast run. again, i don't really know too much about this, but i am prety sure she is crazy. it involved her running long distances at times of day when one really shouldn't be running.
4. kristen's birthday is september 17. i have reoccurring nightmares/worries (mostly when i am like half awake) that i have missed it. this fear has been ongoing for several months. maybe by writing about it here i will increases my chances of not forgetting. sorry praz.
5. i have officially watched everything worth watching on hulu. seriously. if you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments (no reality, sci-fi, b&w, or scary please). this is a semi-serious problem and should be regarded as homework for you.
6. happy labor day weekend to all the laborers out there (like everyone i know with the exception of enrique and i)
7. tuesday came and went and i didn't post the recipe i was meaning to write-up. this week for sure.

excellent roundup. love the scooter (not sure if you remember my scooter stories--sure your dad would LOVE to retell it to you) just be prepared for people to yell at you. otherwise, it's awesome. working on the homework assignment. the flutag IS awesome--we watch on tv but I'm sure in person is "awesomer". love u!!!

Watch Doc Martin! I saw one episode when we were in Scotland and was instantly hooked,. I watch it on Hulu, and theuy've just started having it on our PBS station.
riding a scooter/motorcyle is totally not like a car..."never get in over your head" and alway's drive defensively.....be safe
